Driving in Maui is generally an easy thing...take the highway just like home. BUT there are areas of Maui that are still somewhat undeveloped. We took a drive one afternoon around the northeast side of the island. Along the way we all of sudden understood why not very many people travel this direction.
The road becomes a one-lane road. But here's the kicker, it is still two-way!! Yep, that's right a one-lane, two-way road. And with hairpin turns. The locals were starting to get off work about this time and therefore we encountered a few people coming in the opposite direction.
