Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Snowmobiling, Part 2

Back to the vacation photos. :-)

While we had a great time snowmobiling there were those times that were not quite as fun. One of the issues with snow machines and deep powder is that they are bound to get stuck from time to time. This being my first time driving one of those things I did get my machine stuck from time to time. Justin, being the strong man that he is, came to my rescue each time. Here he is taking a breather from moving the heavy machine.

There were times that Justin got his own machine stuck. Here he and Jim are trying to get the machine out from his attempt to create tracks for Betsy and I to ride through. Needless to say we didn't go that way after his attempts to do this ended with him digging.

Of course, these being machines there were times that the engines would stop working. The first was Jim. Here Jim takes a look under the hood and Justin calls the rental company. Another time Justin and I were stuck on the lake bed for about an hour. While the scenery was beautiful it was just a wee bit cold to just sit for an hour in freezing temperatures.

Just to show you how much powder there was, here is a picture of Betsy trying to walk between machines. When you took a step you would sink almost 3 feet!
