Maui, Hawaii - Black Sand Beach

Apparently Maui has several different colors of sand on their beaches.  One of them is black.  This is an eerie, yet very cool, beach.  The black sand beach is along the Hana Highway which is an amazing drive I will also talk about in several upcoming posts.

As you can see the black sand beach is more rock than sand.  Not too comfy on the feet.

The water was pretty rough so it made for good pictures of the waves crashing over the cliffs.  Here Justin tries posing without getting too wet. 

Justin is basically a daredevil.  He likes to scare me every once in a while.  Here you can see the rock protruding up that is in front of him.  Well he wanted a better view of the water so he thought it would be a good idea to lean over this rock. 

I don't have a picture of him doing this because I was too nervous watching him to even look let alone take a picture.
