Cozumel, Mexico - The Resort

Justin and I decided we deserved a little time off so we booked a last minute vacation to Cozumel. We found some decent prices on resorts because the cruise ships have not found their way back to Mexico after this whole swine flu debacle. We opted to pay a little more for an adults-only hotel. Boy was it worth it. It was so peaceful. We walked to the other resorts on the property and it only made us appreciate where we were staying even more...too much like a college spring break with an event planner on the microphone playing games all day.

Here is the view from the restaurant where we had breakfast every morning. The food was surprisingly good for an all-inclusive resort. The service was great...we do wonder what it would be like if the resort was full. They were about 60% when we left. All the rooms at this resort were ocean-view. Below is the view from our room.

The grass roof is one of the restaurants.

The resort had a pier where the boats would pick us up to go diving. We did 2 two-tank dives. The diving is amazing in Cozumel and we recommend it to everyone. On just one dive we saw 5 sharks(including an 8-foot nurse shark), 4 turtles, lobsters, eels, and tons of fish. We were able to swim through the coral which is an amazing feeling.
